VW Campervan

VW Campervan

NZ New 2021 2wd LWB T6.1, 7spd DSG, Diesel, only 6800k Km, 147kw (197bhp) Bi Turbo engine 450Nm

Due to delays in arrival of new van this wont now be available till new year.
will leave it listed though for interest.

The Van was purchased NZ new in Sept 2021 and fully converted in time for christmas, it is a new vehicle and is covered by VW 5yr factory warranty, there are also a heap of factory extras fitted see spec at bottom

The Ultimate Leisure Vehicle, Its not just a camper van – its a lifestyle. Here you have a van that drives like a car, its economical, its footprint is no larger than a double cab Ute which means it will fit in your garage, in a multistory, carparks at the mall etc. This drives like a car and at 5.3m long and 2m high it will fit in Multistorys and yr garage so you can use as weekday runaround, head to the beach or kids sports on the weekend and have your day/overnight base. You only need to do a you tube search to find out how popular these are in the UK and Europe.

The van was converted professionally by myself at Christchurch Caravans this is the 4rd one I have done. I don’t convert them to a price point – I convert them to how I would want it,its better specked than the new VW California which is only SWB, costs i think getting on for $160k and there sold out!

I am selling this as I do it as a bit of a hobby and have just ordered another T6.1 for the next conversion, all the fitting kit is imported from the UK.

The LWB gives an extra 400mm over the SWB it gives an extra cupboard, and just a bit more space to move around. There is no point filling these cupboards with water containers and gas bottle. So mounted under the van is (approx) 50L fresh tank and 52L waste tank – both monitored.
No there isn’t hot water – if you need hot water you boil the jug on the gas hob.

Its sound deadend, insulated and fully carpet lined.

There is  Deisel heater which is also mounted under the van and fed from the main tank.

This leaves bags of storage space in the cupboards and also under the seat.

Under the front seats are 2x  100Ah lithium batteries these are kept charged via a 170w flexible solar panel mounted on the roof, + a DCDC charger which charges as you drive, the battery is powering the 12v fridge, lights, water pump and usb sockets. There is NO mains hook up, why would you need it? but i have installed a small 300w inverter which is good for charging Ebikes and the likes.

The van has the large Bi Turbo 147kw (197bhp) engine, if your loaded up with kids and gear plus maybe towing a boat or a caravan you wont be struggling up any hills in this!!

Full LVV certification for all modifications and classed as a camper van on NZTA database.

The front passenger seat is on a swivel so can be turned, I do have a swivel for drivers seat but its not fitted.

There is a Foli spring bed base in the pop top roof with a mattress so it is really comfy, and it also has the scenic canvas option which allows you to fully open up the roof on a nice day.

There is a roof rack fitted to take the kayaks or paddle board, I have had a couple of bikes up there.

The rear Rock n Roll seat folds down into a comfy double bed.

The van stands out from the crowd with the 2-tone paintwork,

Inflatable drive away awning also available for $1200 (never used)

Plate NOT included.
